North Dade Dolphins Volunteer Opportunities & Program Support

A successful North Dade Dolphins season is built on the hard work and dedication of our families, volunteers, and community.
From game day operations to off-season planning, volunteers are the backbone of our program.

Getting involved is a great way to:

I. Program Volunteer Structure & Roles

Below is an overview of the volunteer committees and leadership needs within the North Dade Dolphins program:

a. Field & Game Day Operations

II. Game Day Volunteers

Game days require many helping hands. Here’s where parents can make a major impact:


a. Concession Volunteers (Home Games Only)

  • Transport concession equipment/tent to the field (typically a parent with a truck)

  • Set up concession area (2–3 people)

  • Concession Coordinator: supervises, handles funds, and ensures each team covers assigned shifts

  • Grill Masters: 2–3 volunteers

  • Each team must provide 2 parents to work concessions one hour before their athlete’s game

  • Assist with breakdown and cleanup after the final game


b. Spotters

Monitor rosters during games to ensure minimum-playing-time rules are followed.


c. Chain Crew

  • Home games: 2 volunteers

  • Away games: 1 volunteer


d. Field Setup & Take Down (Home Games Only)

  • Pick up field equipment and transport to the field (parent with truck preferred)

  • Set up field markings, chains, pylons, etc.

  • Place cones/tape for parking and crowd control

  • Ensure restrooms remain clean and safe

  • Field Marshals: conduct weigh-ins and oversee sidelines and crowd behavior

  • Break down and clean up the field after games

  • Return equipment to storage (typically a parent with a truck)


e. Spirit Wear Sales

Assist the Merchandise Coordinator with ordering, organizing, and selling Dolphins gear at games and events.


III. Team-Level Positions

a. Team Parent (Team Mom/Dad)

  • Primary communication bridge between coaches and families

  • Helps organize volunteers for concessions, chain crew, and field needs

  • Ensures each family completes their required volunteer duties

b. Team Administrator

  • Helps with IDs, roster certification, weigh-ins, and weekly paperwork

  • Assists coaches with administrative tasks throughout the season
